For ski enthusiasts, it makes the perfect spot as, when snow permits, you can ski to and from the apartment.
You enter the apartment on the first floor which is the main sleeping floor. On this floor there are six twin/double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. The two master bedrooms have uninterrupted views of the iconic Matterhorn. Bright and spacious, all of the furnishings are of the highest quality and all the bathrooms have separate baths and power showers.
A lift takes you up to the living and dining areas which are wonderfully spacious and bright.
The main living areas have sumptuous sofas which surround the large stone fireplaces.
After a hard day on the slopes, guests can enjoy afternoon tea in peace and quiet while the children are kept entertained in the apartment’s entertainment rooms complete with Apple TV. There is also a guest toilet on this floor.
Alex is made up of two apartments which can be taken separately or, if taken together, using internal doors which combine the two apartments seamlessly.
On the lower ground floor of Chalet Shalimar is the shared spa area. There is a fabulous indoor pool, sauna, hammam, and massage room which is shared with the other four-bedroom apartment, Elena, which is situated on the ground floor.
Alex is nestled in the enclave of Winkelmatten, perfectly positioned for keen skiers as you can ski to and from the property (when snow permits). The vibrant centre of Zermatt is a 15-minute scenic walk away or a short ride in an electric taxi.
Chalet Alex can be taken on a catered or self-catered basis.
