Recently built as part of a luxury two-chalet development including Chalet Banja which is next door, Chalet Binna sets high standards in Alpine luxury. Situated in the desirable Winkelmatten area of Zermatt, it is a 5 minute walk to the Matterhorn Express gondola and it is possible to ski back to within a short walk of the door for much of the winter. A bus stop is close by. Chalet Binna provides high class accommodation with excellent facilities including a room designed for wheelchair access.
Like it’s neighbour, the chalet has great views of the Matterhorn and provides for a level of comfort, design and convenience seldom seen in private ski accommodation. Furthermore, the chalet also has its own array of luxury “wellness” facilities including an external hot tub.
Modern in design with the chalet’s various levels going down from the main entrance at street level. Access to the chalet has been specifically designed to allow for guests with limited mobility with ramp access to the front door and a private internal lift between floors, in addition to the stairs.
At street level, coming in from the front entrance there is a ski/boot room and access to the lift.
One floor down the large sitting/dining room has an atmospheric fireplace and a TV corner is found. The modern fully equipped kitchen sits discreetly off from the dining area, and there is a terrace with a view of the Matterhorn. A guest WC is also on this floor.
As you would expect, the standard of furnishing is very high and the decoration is well chosen.
A floor down again you will find 3 bedrooms, each with their own bath and/or shower and WC. Two of the rooms are twin/doubles whilst the third is set out as a children’s room and has three bunks. One of the twin/doubles has wheelchair/disabled facilities.
On the lowest floor there is a “wellness” area with sauna, shower and relaxation area as well as a large hot tub/jacuzzi on the large, riverside terrace with views towards the Matterhorn. The fourth double/twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom is located on this level.
The bedrooms and main sitting room have cable TV whilst the chalet has its own WiFi network. All bathrooms/showers have hairdryers and there are safes in all the bedrooms.
Infants’ cots and high chairs are available.
