In winter it is possible to ski across the meadows and down to the Matterhorn Express gondola, and, at the end of the day ski back virtually to the front door! (snow permitting). Alternatively, the ski bus stop is a 2 minute walk away, or a taxi can bring you to the chalet. Within the Winkelmatten area there is a choice of some bars and restaurants and also a bakery.
The ground floor, two bedroomed Stein Eriksen suite has a sunny garden terrace with a beautiful Matterhorn view. The interior is a chalet-lodge style with historical elements and plenty of cosy fabrics, making for a very homely feel. With access direct to the garden this apartment is perfect for families, or 6 adults, with the master bedroom having an ensuite bathroom.
