The 4 Star Superior, design hotel – Mattherhorn Focus is located in a perfect position in Zermatt. Within 2 minutes walk to the bottom station of the Matterhorn Express gondola lift, ideal both in winter & summer. As the hotel name suggests it has stunning views toward the Matterhorn – it’s very much in focus!

The 30 rooms and suites, housed in 3 separate but interconnected buildings, have all been creatively designed by the award winning local designer Heinz Julen. His style is present throughout this unique hotel which brings something special to your vacation.

The Matterhorn Focus Hotel offers you a superb breakfast in the mornings and at the end of an active day outdoors you can relax and unwind in the luxurious spa and pool area.

Rooms & Suites

The 30 rooms and suites consist of 3 Skylight Rooms, 7 Double Rooms Superior, 8 Double Rooms Deluxe, 1 Junior Suite, 1 Junior Suite Deluxe, 3 Family Suites, 2 Suite 50’s, 2 Royal Suites and 3 Roof Suites. All rooms feature a double bed, design furniture, free wifi, Nespresso coffee machine (with pods), ensuite bathroom with either a shower or bath, high quality body care products, cosy bathrobes and slippers, hair dryer, flat screen LCD HDTV with radio, direct dial telephone and room safe. A sumptuous breakfast is included in the price.

Skylight Rooms –

The asymmetrical, expansive skylight is the highlight of these 20-25 sq m double rooms. From your bed, you look straight out into the Valais skies. Roof windows provide the day light as there are no windows are on the side walls – a unique feature! There is no balcony. Occupancy depends on the room, with 2-4 persons being an option.

Double Room Superior –

Enjoy your stay in a bright Superior Double Room covering ca. 25 sq m . From the balcony or terrace you overlook the Valais landscape with a view towards the Dom & Täschhorn mountains and village of Zermatt. Occupancy, depending on the room, 2 to 4 persons.

Double Room Deluxe –

In a stylish Deluxe Double Room of 30-35 sq m, large mirrored windows, a balcony or a terrace offer a variety of impressive perspectives of the Matterhorn. Occupancy, depending on the room, 2 to 4 persons.

Junior Suite –

The Junior Suite impresses with its spacious rooms and large mirrored windows. Terrace with side view to the famous Matterhorn. The bedroom with a stylishly illuminated bedstead is open to the cosy living room. The spacious bathroom with freestanding bathtub and rain shower invites you to relax. Occupancy max. 4 persons utilizing the large sofa bed in the living area.

Junior Suite Deluxe –

The Junior Suite Deluxe, consisting of a light-flooded living room, with large mirrored windows, a separate bedroom and a spacious terrace, complete with an awesome, captivating view of the famous Matterhorn. The bedroom with stylishly illuminated bedstead also has direct access to the terrace. The spacious bathroom with freestanding bathtub and rain shower invites you to relax. Occupancy max. 4 persons utilizing the large sofa bed in the living area.

Family Suite –

The Family Suite in House B is 45-50 sq m in size. The bright rooms comprise two separate bedrooms and a living room with a sofa bed and table for 4. The large mirrored windows and two balconies provide unique views to the stunning Matterhorn as well as to the Dom and village of Zermatt. Occupancy max.6 persons.

The Family Suites in Chalet House C are 45-50 sq m and have a bedroom and a living area with two separate beds and a sofa bed, also a table. The highlight is the balcony with guaranteed view of the Matterhorn! Small dogs are welcome in these suites, subject to prior notification and for a small surcharge. Occupancy max.6 persons.

Suite 50 –

Drift away from the daily routine in the large 50 sq m Suite 50. The bedroom with stylishly lit bed frame is separated from the generous living room by a glass wall. From the free standing bathtub, you can enjoy views of the Matterhorn and the mountain scape thanks to the wide glass facades. Occupancy max. 4 persons utilizing the large sofa bed in the living area.

Royal Suites –

Treat yourself to the largest suite in the Matterhorn Focus, live like a king in over 70 sq metres of luxury! Glass walls divide the rooms into bedroom and living room. The bedroom has a double bed and wash basin. The living area, with its large mirrored glass windows opens on to either a terrace or balcony where the Matterhorn is the focus! This area has a table, large sofa bed and freestanding bath where you can lie back and relax with the Matterhorn in full view. Occupancy is max. 5 persons.

Roof Suites –

Float in large rooms above Zermatt! Treat yourself to a stay in one of the penthouse suites with unique fireplaces. The largest, the Focus Suite, at 70 sq m has glass walls dividing sleeping and living areas, here you can live like royalty! The 50 sq m Matterhorn or Dom Suites, where from the free standing bathtub, your balcony or terrace, you will always see the Matterhorn in view. All suites have a bathroom with showeer. Occupancy max. 4-5 persons.

At the Hotel Matterhorn Focus, dive into another world – a world of perfect rest and relaxation. In the thoughtfully designed spa area with its mystical atmosphere, it’s easy to let go.

The spa has a beautiful circular indoor pool, heated to 33 degrees, with direct access to the outdoor Jacuzzi. The Finnish sauna, caldarium, saline bath and relaxation room with heated loungers complete the wellness area. In addition, you can also book a relaxing massage or vitalizing body treatment.

Breakfast & The Bar

Where the day begins exquisitely.

At the Matterhorn Focus they offer you all the ingredients for a perfect start to the day: Different crusty breads, refreshing fruits, freshly squeezed juices, tasty cheeses, müsli variations and much more besides – natural produce from the region. Also, a cup of fragrant, aromatic coffee or tea is in order to wake the palate and the mind.

There is a bar for hotel guests which opens late afternoon and on into the evening.

At the Hotel Matterhorn Focus, they also offer you a suitable venue for effective presentations and meetings. The approximately 50 sq m conference room with large terrace and a view of the Matterhorn is ideal for your workshops, seminars, strategy days, business meetings or team building events.  In the conference room, holding max. 20 persons, you will find everything you need for a successful event:

Video projector; DVD/Video/TV on large screen; Overhead projector; Flip chart; Free WIFI.
