Description
The Matthiol Hotel, situated in the serene Winklematten area of Zermatt, is a beautiful chalet style, boutique hotel. Recently refurbished it provides 33 double rooms, has a spa area and fantastic in-house restaurant. The Matthiol is unique in that it is one of the few hotels in Zermatt where in winter, when there is sufficient snow, to be able to ski-in & ski-out! Peaceful and relaxing, just perfect for either a winter or summer alpine break.
Relaxation and mountain adventures is the hotel’s theme and they like to amaze their guests. Individual services, private spa areas and a view of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps, including, of course, the Matterhorn!

DOUBLE ROOM – STANDARD: A stylish classic: Cosiness in natural materials, with a king-sized bed, rushing treetops, and the Gornergrat peaking in from the windows! En-suite bathroom and the room is 29 sq m.
DOUBLE ROOM – DELUXE: A modern design with alpine details. Spend wonderful days here, overlooking the Gornergrat. King size bed with en-suite bathroom varying between 21–29 sq m. Most rooms have balconies.
SPA DOUBLE ROOM: The ideal retreat: With a private sauna and freestanding bathtub make this room your wellness refuge! King-size bed, en-suite bathroom and 33 sq m. Most rooms have balconies.
MATTERHORN SPA DOUBLE ROOM: Enjoy the comfort of this room, with a private sauna and freestanding bathtub, including a balcony with overwhelming views of the Matterhorn the Matterhorn Spa double room is truly a place to relax and unwind! King-size bed and en-suite bathroom contained within 37 sq m.

FILET ET FILS – MODERN GRILL RESTAURANT: Filet et Fils puts more on the plate than just food! It takes traditional ingredients and interprets them in new ways – regional meat and cosmopolitan culinary art unite in a modern and real cuisine, with a dash of down-to-earth tradition on the open grill.
The restaurant values genuine local resources and diverse flavours, inspired from all around the world, because sustainable ingredients and ideas are not only better but taste better too.
